This second, and most famous Narnia story, brings the concepts of Christianity to life through Aslan and the Pevensie children. The big concepts of sin, selfishness, honor,and repentance become much easier to grasp while reading this book.

Students will increase their confidence in literary analysis as they delve deeply into this C. S. Lewis’s iconic allegory. Their vocabulary will grow as they read critically. Writing about the fundamentals of Christianity helps students to internalize God’s truths.

The fundamental Christian concepts of sacrifice, redemption, and resurrection are beautifully explained and developed in this novel. This book is a wonderful introduction to C. S. Lewis, a master Christian apologist.

Through an intentional spiral curriculum, students will continue to develop their vocabulary, deepen their reading comprehension, sharpen their writing skills, and strengthen their Biblical knowledge.
